They hardly ever manage to hit the 24-hour turnaround times, citing heavy accents (like, you know, Australian). One particularly challenging case that just kept getting tossed around in their system was the last straw, but another supplier wrapped it up in just half a day.

Back in 2015 and 2016, I penned two books about the Virginia Underground Press. I did around 50 interviews for those projects, and doing the transcriptions myself really dragged things out—like, it took forever, maybe a quarter of the time it should’ve.

As someone who conducts interviews for a living, I've been using Speechpad for quite a while now, and I couldn't be happier.
